Starter strips keep bugs out and allows ventilation into the rainscreen cavity, while saving labour and material costs. Our starter strips are based on a concept developed by siding installers to combine two important siding accessories—a lip edge for the starter course of siding (Vinyl, Cementitious siding, or wood) and perforations to create a bug screen for rainscreen cavities.
This innovative product not only serves a functional purpose, but it also saves the contractor labout costs, and material costs over the long term.
Note: Colour will vary according to availability, since this profile is hidden from view once installed. It is commonly white or off-white.
Available in 3 sizes:
• 1/2″ for vinyl siding installations with rainscreen strapping
• 3/4″ for use with cementitious siding with 3/8″ or 1/2″ rainscreen strapping
• 1 1/16″ for use with cementitious siding with 3/4″ rainscreen strapping
*All come in 10 ft lengths
